Women leading united action on climate change -
Brinja-Yuin country/Moruya
Friday 13 September 2024, 2:30pm to 5pm
SAGE Garden, 110 Church St, Moruya, NSW
We invite women from Brinja-Yuin country/Moruya and surrounds to come together to hear about the calls to action in the WCC’s Charter for Change.
This is an opportunity to share with others your thoughts, ideas and aspirations and to look at ways of breathing life into the Charter at the local level – or to get involved in the national and international work of the WCC.
Why come along?
We know that the next 5 years are critical to getting policies and practices in place to secure the climate. Women are rising here and internationally in ever increasing numbers to take their full and rightful place in decision making to create a safe future for their children and grandchildren, and to usher in a policy shift towards compassion, kindness, care and nurture of all Earth Life.
Who will host the gathering?
Janet Salisbury, WCC founder, with WCC founding members Kirsten Anker and Lyn Stephens, will introduce the Charter and invite us to explore together how South Coast women, individually or collectively, can lead and participate in Charter aligned actions. Through facilitated and interactive conversations this event will encourage you to develop your own response – whether it be artistic, cultural, social, economic or political. We’d love to see you and your friends there!
Thank you to Eurobodalla Shire Council and SAGE (Sustainable Agriculture Gardening Eurobodalla). WCC is delighted to be participating in the lead up to the Festival of Sustainable Choices and we would like to acknowledge the support of the Eurobodalla Shire Council and of SAGE in helping to make this happen.
